Speaker bio:
Marshall Cheney is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health and Exercise Science at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Cheney is trained in qualitative and mixed methodology and has used multiple qualitative research methods in community-based and online research. She has trained undergraduate and graduate students, post-docs, and faculty members in qualitative research methods.
Dr. Cheney will share some of her methods for training these different groups of learners in interviewing methods, rigorous data collection and analysis, and progressively developing skills in data collection, analysis, and write ups across projects. We will also have time for discussion to share other strategies and experiences among group members.
