OSCTR Joins Institutional Development Awards Program
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Institutional Development Award (IDeA) programs in Oklahoma bolster and enhance the state's research assets. This is achieved by leveraging NIH investments in personnel, equipment, core facilities, and student programs to address health problems, build research capability, and expand opportunities for the next generation of physicians, healthcare workers, and scientists.
The Oklahoma Shared Clinical and Translational Resources (OSCTR) is now part of the successful IDeA programs in Oklahoma that build research infrastructure to launch the careers of scientific investigators. OSCTR extends this infrastructure development into clinical and translational research areas, supporting clinically relevant, community-driven research projects and providing the necessary resources for innovative and collaborative research programs. Our mission aligns with the NIH's growing focus on clinical and translational research.
By joining the IDeA program, OSCTR is committed to fostering a collaborative research environment that bridges the gap between laboratory discoveries and patient care. This partnership enhances our ability to conduct high-impact research, promote community health initiatives, and train the next generation of researchers. With the support of the IDeA program, OSCTR aims to transform health outcomes in Oklahoma through cutting-edge research and innovative healthcare solutions.
