Science Writing Unit: How to Work with the Core

The SWU can help investigators present their story in a compelling, clear, and accurate way, but investigators are responsible for the content. In general, it is best to contact the Science Writing Unit early in the writing process.

Please bring relevant data, submission guidelines from the target journal or funding opportunity, 1-3 of the most relevant publications, and other key documents that shape or direct the project.

The SWU will help investigators establish a timeline for completing and submitting their manuscript or grant proposal. Projects that do not follow the timeline may be moved to a lower priority in the SWU workflow.
